Background Barriers & Aims
Sergej Generalov, aged 33 lives in Gloucester and his aim was to be in full time employment and be able to drive lorries.
Sergej stated he did not need any extra support whilst doing the course.
Actions and Activities Undertaken
He attended all of the course sessions over the 3 weeks of training and was made aware at the beginning that he could call anyone from Betaris Training if help was needed.
Sergej was set up with a login for an online platform to practice and prepare for the three different theory exams. He used this extensively, getting in lots of practice.
He was provided with practical training from Nick Tyler, to set him up ready for his practical test.
Outcomes and Results
Sergej passed all three modules of the LGV Theory tests- Multiple Choice, Hazard Perception and Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
Sergej then went on to pass his HGV practical driving test.
He now has a job driving for C M Downton Ltd. and they have a depot based in Gloucester.
Sergej enjoyed the training and said he is now working a 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern. He said the currently money is not the best, but he has lots of free time, so his work/life balance is amazing.
