We absolutely love it when we hear from previous learners about their successes! Our assessors, Ian and Lesley recently received an update from a former apprentice Callum. Callum completed a ‘Supply Chain Warehouse Operative’ apprenticeship at Wincanton and is now working as a team leader within the company. Callum recently got put forward for a national competition and here’s what he has to say……..

“I just wanted to drop you both a message to let you know that I was shortlisted for the UK National Everywoman’s Award ceremony. I attended the finals with 3 other people in my category for apprentice of the year. I did not win the award, but it was an amazing experience to be apart of. I would just like to say a huge thank you to you both. Without the coaching & mentoring from you both I would not be on the career path I am currently on. I have created a project at our site that has increased our Health & Safety with no effect to the operation KPIS. I was then asked by the General Manager to share this with Harlow site. I have also been put forward for the Rising Star of Wincanton award ( Awaiting feedback). I then created a project with my line manager which has saved the business just shy of 2 million pounds a year on Handling Materials, trunks, transport etc. I am continuously seeking opportunities to not only improve the site but the whole contract. I am still very eager to reach the next stage in my career. Without the guidance from you both I would not be where I am today.

So just to summaries, I would like to personally thank you both for everything you had done for me & just to keep you in the loop as to what I am up to.

I hope you are both still being able to work & progressing further candidates across the country”
