Fundraising:

  • To be involved with mail merges and communications to individuals and companies raising support for the Pied Piper Appeal
  • Run the office shop, including stock, payments and customers at door
  • Support at all events where required
  • Run the Atrium shop, prepare the stock, assist the volunteers in set up, set down, and then re-distribute the stock back to the office
  • Preparation of collecting tins and buckets re-labelling and cleaning
  • Preparation of pixie bags, sourcing, ordering and assembling

Research and Database:

  • Helping to develop a comprehensive central Pied Piper database by ensuring individuals receive GDPR forms and can be added to both the database and Mailchimp E-news Mailing List
  • Carrying out or organising specific research as required for events (Quotes for décor etc.)
  • To ensure databases are accurate and used to promote giving. For example: helping to keep the Golf Club database to be up-to-date and mailed regularly
  • Create databases for specific targeted mail groups where required (eg; Cycling clubs for sportive, Special schools for wishes mailer)

Administrative:

  • Responsible for assisting with office and events administration
  • Be responsible for the office – open hours, answering initial phone calls, selling goods from the office door etc.
  • Manage stationery supplies
  • Assist in the organisation of volunteers as required for events and Pied Piper Updates
  • To enter calendar dates to sync with Fundraising Manager and Office Manager’s calendars
  • Collate and send event tickets purchased through our website
  • Track all donations through the website, ensure they are in the thank you folder and advise the office manager of the donor’s name and amount received
  • Document and breakdown PayPal income for each event and merchandise sold separately
  • Monitoring stock of all promotional goods, T-shirts, bears and pens and advising the office manager when stock is required

The role of the apprentice:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Supervise and control the conduct of users in the Leisure Centre to ensure safety at all times.
  • Supervision and control of the swimming pools, its surrounds and changing areas, you will be trained to become a lifeguard and will be put through your Nationally recognised lifeguarding qualification (You must be able to swim!).
  • To adhere to organisational procedures and systems in order to deliver a consistent service in a safe environment, with an ultimate goal of achieving customer satisfaction and repeat visits.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure continuity of high standards and service at all times.
  • To promote the Leisure Centre and encourage use of its facilities and services to the public, clubs and outside organisations.
  • Assist with the cleaning and presentation of the Leisure Centre as directed by Management, to ensure a clean and tidy building, to include the swimming pool and it’s surrounds.
  • To carry out and record checks of an operational or safety nature, as directed by Management, reporting any faults immediately to the line manager.
